Assessment and evaluation are vital components of the academic journey at Kongu Kalvi Nilayam. Our well-structured assessment system is designed to monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and ensure preparedness for board examinations.
Examination Pattern
- The academic year is divided into three terms:
- Term I: June to September
- Term II: October to December
- Term III: January to April
- Each term includes
- Mid-Term Tests
- Terminal Examinations
- Cyclic Weekly Tests (Class-specific for continuous learning)
Report Cards & Parent Communication
- After every major test or exam, progress reports are issued and sent home for parent review and signature.
- Parents are expected to track their child's academic performance and attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) regularly to discuss progress and areas for improvement.
Academic Support
- Based on test outcomes, remedial classes and special guidance are arranged for students who need extra help.
- For Board Classes (Grades 10 & 12), preparatory exams, revision sessions, and mock tests are conducted intensively.
- Periodic assessments are used to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses to guide them toward better academic outcomes.
Examination Code of Conduct
- Students must not be absent during examinations except in cases of genuine emergencies supported by valid medical certificates.
- Strict action is taken against malpractice or copying.
- Students are expected to maintain decorum during all exams and follow seating plans, timing, and instructions precisely.
